What Is a Cigarette Packing Machine?
A cigarette packing machine takes finished cigarettes coming off the maker and forms, fills, and seals them into individual packs. This stage doesn’t touch tobacco formation or filter attachment at all. It works purely on the finished product, counting cigarettes into the correct quantity per pack and building the pack itself, whether that’s a rigid hinge-lid box or a folded soft pack, before the pack moves on to overwrapping.
Hard Pack vs. Soft Pack: How HLP and SASIB Machines Differ
Not all packing machines build the same style of pack, and this is the main technical split in our range. Our HLP-180, HLP-200, and HLP-225 are hard pack machines, forming the rigid hinge-lid box most factories associate with a standard cigarette pack. Our SASIB 3000 and SASIB 5000 are soft pack machines, building the flexible, foil-wrapped pack format still in strong demand in several markets.
These aren’t interchangeable configurations of the same machine. A hard pack line and a soft pack line are genuinely different mechanically, so the choice between HLP and SASIB comes down to which pack format your market and product actually need, not which machine is “better.”
